All donations doubled

We have been selected for TheBigGive Green Match Fund to help improve the environment around Liverpool this summer.

With the aid of the TheBigGive Green Match Fund, the Mersey Rivers Trust will work on ‘Love Your River’, a project working with volunteers and the local community to make our local waterways into nicer places for people and wildlife to thrive.

All donations to the fund during the week 22nd to 29th April will be doubled by the Green Match Fund, meaning that the Mersey Rivers Trust and its volunteers can double their impact.

The donations will help pay for equipment and planting in Liverpool this summer in areas such as those around Croxteth Park. The idea of ‘Love Your River’ is to create new and improved places for wildlife to live and people to enjoy. A healthy river is better for people and wildlife. Love Your River will help connect people to their local outdoors and learn a bit about local wildlife.  It will help the creatures that live in around rivers and streams and in the surrounding land. Making these spaces into a nice environment for birds, bees, insects, toads, frogspawn and water voles will give people a more interesting place to enjoy.

Donations can be made at theBigGive.org.uk ... Thank You!
