Mersey Estuary & Coastal Partnership

Bringing partners and community groups together along the Mersey estuary and coastline.

Mersey Estuary Blueprint

Mersey Rivers Trust is bringing together local leaders and community groups working on the Mersey estuary and coastline to form a Mersey Estuary & Coastal Partnership.  This project is working alongside the North West Coastal Forum and the Coastal Partnerships Network.

Mersey Rivers Trust has established a stakeholder group who together have been reviewing various plans and strategies from the last 30 years. The group has developed a "blueprint" for the future of the Mersey estuary and coastline to help inform statutory planning activities and the Local Nature Recovery Strategy for the Liverpool City Region.  In addition, we are engaging with local community groups to support their actions to improve the Mersey estuary and the coastline of the Wirral, Liverpool and Sefton.
