Mersey Rivers Trust’s annual “Mersey Rivers Week” takes place this year from 28 June to 4 July 2026 across Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. The week-long event celebrates all things River Mersey, including the environment, wildlife and recreational benefits.
Stretching 4,000km across the Mersey Basin from the Peak District to the Mersey Estuary, the Mersey rivers are home to a wide range of wildlife, including fish, insects and birds. Whether you're in Greater Manchester, Merseyside or Cheshire, you can enjoy access to the Mersey and its tributaries for recreation, health and well-being.
Throughout Mersey Rivers Week our team will be attending and hosting free events across the region. We hope to see you there!
