Section 1
Jackson's Boat Pub to River Mersey by Chorlton Water Park
From the pub, cross over the River Mersey via the footbridge and turn right at the end on to the Mersey Valley Way.
Follow the path with the River Mersey on your right for 1.7km to the junction of paths by Chorlton Water Park, opposite the site of Bailey Bridge (currently being replaced).
Take the path towards Chorlton Water Park, walking away from the River Mersey and on to the circular footpath around the man-made lake.
Section 2
Chorlton Water Park circular and return to Jackson's Boat Pub
Take the circular path around Chorlton Water Park from the River Mersey in an anticlockwise direction. The circular walk around Chorlton Water Park back to the starting point on the River Mersey is 1.5km.
There is a children's playground at Chorlton Water Park with public toilets at the car park (restricted opening hours).
After completing the circular walk around Chorlton Water Park, retrace your steps back along the Mersey Valley Way to Jackson's Boat footbridge. Cross over the river via the footbridge back to the pub.
The total walk length is 4.9km (3 miles).
