Description

Join us in installing leaky dams (human beavers) as a natural flood management scheme around Stockport to help control water flow.

Meet us at 10.00 am at Bruntwood Lane, Cheadle SK8 1HX. Parked near to the BMX track.

(What 3 words; ///given.arch.gosh).

We will be digging into the river banks, moving logs, and installing posts to create leaky dams. This is a physical activity that needs you to be physically fit enough to be able to lift and carry 20kg safely.

This is a weather-dependent activity (if it's snowing or icey). Work boots/ wellies are required, as are water bottles, suitable clothing, and lunch; other PPE items will be provided.

There are facilities on-site and a café which you are more than welcome to use.
